September, 2012 Board Report

Welcome to NSD21:
Technology for
21st Century Teaching and Learning
  • TEACHER TRAINING:
Staff access student data via iPads and laptops. Teachers analyze the data and determine instructional decisions and interventions. Coaches guide teachers in next steps of our overall plan.

  • DARK FIBER:
We have only news that the ESD is working to ensure the Tribes have the information needed to make the fiber connection one that meets the standards of the K20 Network, which we need for official school business with OSPI.

  • ERATE REPORT:
Our annual technology report to maintain our e-Rate qualification is completed two weeks ahead of the due date. We use 38 Mac and 102 PC computers for staff and students; they are in constant use, especially in fifth, seventh, and eighth grades as students work with technology to learn reading, writing, math, and science.

  • COMPUTER LAB
The computer lab was up and running the first day. Our NWEA testing updates are in place. Students continue to progress with keyboarding skills and also work on reading, writing, and math during this time.

Please remember this is a school-related site. Model digital citizenship. Thank you.
